Opening hours – 7.30am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only but we offer some holiday provision (see below).
Fees from January 2026 will be:
2, 3 and 4 year olds: £8.00 per hour
3/4 year olds: Universal entitlement – 15 hours funded by the Government for all 3/4 year olds the term after they are 3 years old. Some children will also be eligible for an up to 15 hours working parent entitlement free. These hours can be used any day between 7.30 am and 5.30 pm, term time only.
2 year olds: £8.00 per hour unless eligible for the free working parents Government funding up to 30 hours per week. Again funded hours can be used any day between 7.30 am and 5.30 pm, term time only.

There are no restrictions as to times and days when you can use the Government funded hours other than term time only. We are open 7.30am to 5.30pm. Please see below holiday club options. We are also happy to split funding with another setting if that is more convenient for your family.
There is also a charge of £1 for breakfast (between 7.30am and 8.00am; £1 for morning snack; £1 for a light afternoon tea (served at 3.30pm). This is an optional charge for children using the Government funding. To opt out please speak to the manager to make alternative arrangements.

We also have a before and after school club for children who attend Embsay Primary School. The following fees include breakfast 7.30 – 8.00 am and a light tea 3.30 – 4.00 pm.

We offer up to 6 weeks holiday club for children aged 2 to 11 years. These dates for 2025-26 are subject to change following a recent survey. Please keep checking for updates. One suggestion was to provide holiday club for teacher training days. We are trialling this on Monday 13th April 2026. Throughout holiday club all children will need a healthy packed lunch (snacks and drinks provided) as well as waterproofs and sun cream dependent on the the weather. Holiday Club is £32.50 per day, 8.30 am until 5.00 pm. There is also the option of a part day, 8.30am to 3pm £27.50. There are no longer sibling discounts. Payment must be made on booking to secure the place. There is no refund from 2 weeks prior to the start of holiday club unless we can re-sell the place. Places offered on a first come (and paid), first served basis.
As a charity and not-for-profit organisation (charity number 1036590) we make every effort to keep our fees as low as possible and fees are charged solely to cover our running costs, such as rent and wages. Special arrangements for paying fees can be made in the case of financial hardship or other difficulty. We accept vouchers for payment of fees too. Please speak to our manager for details.
Holiday Dates 2026-27
We have the same holiday dates as Embsay Primary School including their training days which equals a 38 week academic year. Please note that some of the training days are now a Friday rather than a Monday as they have been in the past. Also note the May Bank Holiday weekend includes a training day making it a long weekend. The days we are closed (except for Holiday Club) are as follows for 2026-27:
